Evelyn Coyne Obituary

Funeral services for Evelyn Elaine Coyne, age 64 of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Bro. Randy Harshbarger officiating. Interment will follow at Lindale City Cemetery.

Evelyn passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1961, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Clifton Joseph and Sheila Rae (Westbrook) Alegre. Evelyn has lived in Lindale for the past 36 years where she was a member of the South Main Church of Christ and was the Pharmacist at Brookshires for many years before retiring. In her spare time Evelyn enjoyed creating pottery, crocheting, reading, cooking, working in her yard, and spending time with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Alegre and uncle, Steve Westbrook.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mike Coyne of Lindale; son, Lucas Coyne of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Carah Howe and husband, Daniel of Lindale; brother, Clifton Alegre and wife, Lisa of Pensacola, Florida; sister, Cindy Rodriguez of Holly Lake Ranch; grandchildren, Kayley and Austin Howe; and many other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Loving, Richard Johnson, Trey Wood, John Dietzel, Tyler Dietzel, and Ethan Dietzel.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
