Elizabeth was born in Kensington, Maryland, on November 26, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Blair Ernest and Margaret Ann (Nagy) Hott.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents; Ernest and Ruth (Brown) Hott of Wardensville, WV and Daniel and Elizabeth (Lipcsei) Nagy of Wilkinson, WV, formerly of Hungary, five uncles: Harper and Richard Hott, Alec, Louie and Daniel Nagy, and two aunts: Elizabeth (Steve) Dolock, and Goldie Nagy.

Elizabeth always had a love of art, which began as a small child making various arts and crafts for her friends and family and continued throughout her life. After graduating from High School, she attended Marlboro Art College in Marlboro, VT where she graduated and received her degree in art. For a short time, she also dabbled in baking and created a local business in Maryland called Goldie's cookies, named after her Aunt Goldie. She resided in Carmel, California for many years where she worked in an Art Gallery and was a local fashion model. Later in life, she moved back to Maryland where she met her husband, Rick. Her last years were spent in Savannah, GA with Rick and her cat Allie.
