Dorothy Corbitt Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Summerford officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Bill) Summerford; grandchildren, Barry Chandler, Paul (Anissa) Carter, Haley, (Zack) Wilson, Nichole
(Cy) Havron, James Carter; 26 Great Grand Kids; and 4 Great Great Grand Kids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Susanna Thompson; daughters, Billy Sue Chandler, Nancy Nevels, Betty Carol; husband, Rayford Corbitt; brothers, Ted, Ned, Sambo, Eddie Gene, James Roy, Johnny Thompson; sisters Bobby Sue, Caroline, Illa Kay, and Mary Ann.
Pallbearers: Paul Carter, Sammy Carter, JA'Marion Farrior, Zechariah Green, Dontae Womack, Cy Havron, Blake Mosely.
Honorary Pallbearers: Samuel Ray Thompson, Billy Charles Thompson, Cody, and AJ.
