Chester "Chet" Peter Kucinski, 78, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Chet was born on October 8, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Helen Kucinski.

After completing his education, he embarked on a lifelong career in the insurance industry. To Chet, being an insurance specialist was never just a job; it was a calling. He possessed a genuine love for people, finding deep fulfillment in hearing their stories and dedicated himself to finding the best ways to help them. He was defined not by the sales he made, but by the lasting relationships he built with every client he served.

Outside of his professional life, Chet was a man of many gifts. A talented musician and a man of unwavering faith, he was a master storyteller who could command any room the moment he began to speak. His sense of humor was legendary, ranging from brilliant, sharp wit to the "worst" dad jokes that his friends and family couldn't help but cherish.

To his family, he was more than just a provider; he was Dad, Daddy, Pops, and Grandpa Chet. He loved his wife and family fiercely, and he never missed an opportunity to express his immense pride and love for each of them. His legacy lives on in the "Happy Birthday" serenades, the long family dinners, the boat rides, and the wisdom he shared.

Chet is survived by his devoted wife of fifteen years Jackie Kucinski; his children, Pamela Milliken (James),Scott Kucinski (Ronda), and Danielle Ellis (Brent); his ten grandchildren, Hannah Thomas (Tyler), Austin Bingham (Jessica), Jessica James (Chris), Gage Miller (Hannah Holmes), Emma LeVally (Lorenzo), Quinn Miller, Brad Tober, Carlie Meyn, Clara-Cate Miller (Joel Derthick), Abby Ellis (Jordan Smith); and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Kucinski, and his beloved daughter, Tammy Meyn.

Dad, Daddy, Pops, Grandpa Chet-we will forever miss the music, the stories, the advice, and the laughter. Thank you for always showing us how much you loved us and for leaving us with a lifetime of wonderful memories.

The family will host a celebration of Chet's life in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the Spring of 2026. Details regarding the date and location will be shared with friends and family once finalized.
