Cheryl M. Grome, 60, of Southgate, passed away on January 23, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Cheryl was born on September 5, 1965, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late James Hatton and Mary Hatton.

She was a longtime bartender at Pompilio's, where she worked for over 37 years. Cheryl also proudly served as the Bocce League Coordinator, a role she truly loved. Bocce season brought her great joy, and she cherished the players and the many friendships she formed within the community throughout the years.

Cheryl enjoyed going to the casino with her family and friends and spending time with the people she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hatton; her mother, Mary Hatton; her husband, Jeff Grome; her brother, Jeff Hatton; and her nephew, Tony Hatton.

Cheryl is survived by her brothers: Mark (Lisa) Hatton, Don (Laura) Hatton, David (Tara) Hatton, James (Becky) Hatton, Mike (Amanda) Hatton, and Tim (Kelly) Hatton; and her sisters: Michelle (Donovan) Van Huss and Teri Hatton. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Zach, Nathan, Kevin, Amie, Brandon, Corey, Steven, Jessica, Austin, Christian, Isabelle, Landon, Gavin, Juliet, Tyler, Alana, Matthew, Aidan, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Adam, Ian, Mitchell, Owen, and Cameron.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Bellevue.
