Charles Hudson Obituary

Charles D. Hudson was born on May 1, 1955, at Talihina Indian Hospital in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was the eldest born to James and Martha Hudson. Charles accepted Christ at an early age and continued to study the Bible throughout his life.

He attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City lettering in cross-country. He then attended Chilocco Indian School, lettering in football and baseball, graduating in 1973. He continued his studies at Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, Kansas. He worked for Metal Container Corp as a Quality Assurance Tech until he retired in 2011.

He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, bowling and cooking. Charles was also known for his artwork in which he gifted his paintings and drawings to many family members and friends.

In 1989 he married Rejeania Smith in Oklahoma City, making their home in Moore, Oklahoma until his death.

Charles is survived by his wife, Rejeania Hudson of Moore OK, daughter and husband, Tricia and JJ Garcia, and granddaughter Charlotte of Burleson, Texas and son Daniel Givens and grandson Mekko of Norman, OK. He is also survived by brother and sister in-laws, Leo Smith of Mustang, OK, Eric Smith of Moore, OK, Wynenna Smith of Ignacio, CO, Devania Wacoche and husband Woxie of Muskogee, OK, Wydinca Smith of Moore, OK, Saruth Garcia and partner Mike Hodges of Moore, OK, his niece Sarah Hudson and partner Raymond Wickson and sister-in-law Shirley Hudson, son Tony Hudson and daughter Darla Hudson, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. And many loving nephews and nieces: Jeni Rae Heath, Erika Garcia, Benjamin and Myra and son Ethan Howard, Laura Howard, Cedra Etesam, Nathan and Sarah Champagne, Joshua Smith, Willie, Levi, Bernadette Wacoche, and George and Jack Gouge,

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Hudson and brother Daryl Hudson.

The Celebration of His Heavenly Life is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the John Irland Funeral Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma.
