Maryann Oliver Obituary

Maryann Oliver, 85, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 28, 2025. Born in Burlington, VT and raised in Hartland, VT, to her late mother, Marion Towne and grandparents, Harlan and Mary Towne. After high school, she attended Castleton State College, where she met the love of her life, Eugene "Gene" Oliver.
For many years, Maryann worked in the car dealership business as a bookkeeper and office manager. Later in life, Maryann followed her entrepreneurial spirit, opening her own uniform business. Maryann and Gene worked together running Uniforms, Etc traveling around New England to healthcare facilities for sales events.
They eventually sold the business and retired to Lakeland, Florida, where Maryann enjoyed golfing and playing cards with friends. At the beginning of the pandemic, Maryann and Gene moved Upstate, New York to be closer to family.
Maryann is survived by her husand, Eugene; son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Paula; daughter, Sonyea and son-in-law, Craig; brothers, Richard and Ronald (Sherry) Wood; sisters-in-law, Lynda (Bryan) Upton and Priscilla Oliver; grandchildren, Jacob (Alexandria) Oliver, Logan (Mellissa) Oliver, Chelsea (Dominick) Centurioni, Alec (Cheyenne) Shappy, and Zachariah Shappy; as well as beloved cousins, Carolyn Jacobs, Steve Dow and Gary Towne and several nieces nephews.
