Brandon Allen Ritter, 49, of Woodlawn, Illinois, passed away at 10:51 pm December 27, 2025 at his home. He was born October 11, 1976 in Effingham, Illinois to William Allen and Karen (O'Leary) Ritter.
In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by his son, Vincent Bailey; daughter, Isabelle Ritter; Leanne Ritter; sister, Breanna Engel; nephew and nieces, Isaac Engel, Alex Henricksen, and Graceyn Engel.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike and Alice O'Leary and Mont and Willadene Ritter; uncles, Larry Ritter and Pat O'Leary; and nieces and nephews, Chase, Kiera, Payton, and Jaiden Engel.
Brandon graduated from North Clay High School, where he was active on the basketball team and the FFA. He maintained strong bonds with many of those friends. He later attended Lakeland Community College and SIU Carbondale and graduated with a degree in Agriculture Education. Brandon taught at Bunker Hill High School, Clifton High School, Hudsonville High School, and Webber Township High School. He was a lifetime member of the FFA Alumni and held many State and American FFA Degrees. Brandon was a member of Crossroads Church of Centralia. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Crossroads Church of Centralia in Centralia, Illinois. A Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at Crossroads Church of Centralia with Pastor Ronnie Tabor officiating. Interment will follow at Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Brandon's honor for the benefit of Isabelle Ritter, in care of Vincent Bailey.
