John Weir and I have been friends since we were four years old. My family lived about a mile down the road from the Weir Fruit Farm. The Weir and Bellman families share many good memories. We were classmates at Biggsville Elementary School in the first grade. My family moved to Kentucky in July of 1962. We often visited the Weirs over the years. The best apple cider in the world! I last spoke to John right before Christmas and was sad to learn of his passing when I spoke to his mom yesterday. To Jane and Peggy, my deepest sympathies.
