Elizabeth Chrobak Obituary

Elizabeth Ann (Ross) Chrobak, of Harrison, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her daughters, on Sunday, November 23. She was 83 years old.

The daughter of Lyell and Clara (Nelson) Ross was born on June 5, 1942 in Beloit, Wis.

Elizabeth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. She found comfort in the simple pleasures-reading, working crossword puzzles, and playing games on her iPad. Elizabeth loved the outdoors, especially bright, sunlit days, and she was always happiest when she could go for a swim. She will be remembered for her warm presence and her contagious smile, which brought light to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ann Chrobak; great grandson, Hunter Dale Williams; one great granddaughter, Lillie Belle Burdine; one brother, Mike Ross; and one sister, Nancy Alexander.

Survivors include five daughters, Vicki (Jeff) Williams, Kathy (Jeff) Rushing, Theresa (Tracy) Newton, Veronica (George) Burdine, and Sara Holmes; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Pete (Louise) Ross; and two grand dogs, Kiki and Millie; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. both on Saturday, December 6, at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
