Michael Quinn Obituary

Quinn, Michael Luke, age 69, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, formerly of Davison, Michigan, died on January 13, 2026. Known for his sense of humor and unmistakable laugh, Michael made a positive impact on all those who knew him. 

Michael spent more than three decades in the car sales and finance industry. Outside of work, he found joy in the challenges of investing in the stock market. Music and playing the electric guitar were Michael's favorite pastimes. Always active, at various points in his life, he explored the countryside on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, ran numerous marathons in DC, played racquetball, and enjoyed downhill skiing. Michael was drawn to Annapolis and the Eastern Shore of Maryland after growing up near the Great Lakes in Michigan. 

Michael was born in Flint, Michigan, on December 9, 1956, to Luke and Rena Novak Quinn. He grew up on his grandparents' farm in Clio, Michigan, and later moved to Davison, Michigan. He was a 1975 graduate of Davison High School and attended the University of Michigan-Flint, where he studied economics. Michael leaves behind family, friends, and many others whose lives were made better by knowing him. 

Michael is survived by his sisters, Susan Wolverton of Swartz Creek, Michigan; Laura (Alan Smith) Quinn of Silver Spring, Maryland; Kathryn (Ron) Satow of Hermosa Beach, California; nephews Matthew Wolverton, Marcus (Morgan) Wolverton, and Quinn Satow; niece Isabel (Rob) Poole; great nephews Owen Hudson Wolverton, Grant Wolverton, and Liam Poole; great niece Diana Wolverton. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Dale Wolverton. As an organ donor, Michael gave the gift of life to others, and his generosity, in life and in death, will not be forgotten. Visitation will be held at a later date, with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. Michael will be deeply missed by his many friends, his colleagues, and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
