Jean Felner Obituary
Jean Frances Felner, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Jean was born in Bridgeport on April 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and Annette Fairhurst. Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Getts, Jr.; her second husband, Joseph Felner; and her beloved daughter, Donna Jurkowski. She is survived by her son, Elmer Getts III (Sandra); her daughter, Lori Pratt (Christopher); her son-in-law, John Jurkowski; her stepdaughter, Ann Felner Duncan (Richard); and her brother, Joseph Fairhurst. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A springtime interment will be held in Huntington Lawn Cemetery West, Shelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 (www.t2t.org).
