MARY PHILLIPS Obituary

Mary Lucille Phillips, age 56, was born May 26, 1955 to Joseph S. and Agnes Dorothy Phillips in Evergreen Park, IL and passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 in Clinton, OK. Mary Lu, as she is known by their family and friends, was raised in the Chicago area and received her education at the St. Nicholas Grade School and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1973. She continued her education at the University of IL graduating in 1982 with a degree in Finance and Business. The family in joint venture purchased their first McDonald's Franchise in Canton, IL and then moved to Clinton, OK in 1983 and began the building of three McDonalds in Clinton, Weatherford and Elk City. Mary Lu has served as the office manager in the family business. Her passion was her family, The Sacred Heart of Jesus and The Immaculate Heart of Mary. She loved spending time with her family and friends, meeting and brightening the day of many people and cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team. Visitation Thursday 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., at Notre Dame Church, 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
