Dear Grandma Kane,
I'm really at loss for words. I can't even begin to write of the many wonderful memories I have of Grand-dad. I loved him so very much. I remember the last conversation I had with Grand-dad. He was telling me of how proud he was of me and how much I have grown since the last time I saw him. I know how important education was to him and will continue to strive forward in my studies. I know that Grand-dad would have wanted me to keep pressing forward and graduate college with achievements. I will end this notation by saying how much I loved Grand-dad and how sorry I am Grandma Kane that I am unable to attend today's funeral. Grand-dad influenced so many people throughout his lifetime and will always be remembered as a inspiration to all of us. He sought for the greater good of the Kane family and did in everything in his power to give his family a wonderful life. I will miss you Grand-dad. May every tear drop that falls from our face remind us of all the memories and good times we had with you.
God rest your soul,
Marissa Kane

Mr Kane was a great friend and devoted vice principal. He was my pal and I gave him the nickname "Rosebud" from the movie "Citizen Kane." We worked closly with the Honor Society and Quill and Scroll at Hubbard. Although I have not kept in touch since my retirement, he is often in my thoughts. He touched many lives at Hubbard. My condolences to his family. He was a wonderful man.
