Wanda J. Zeman, nee Lesniak, of Downers Grove, Illinois passed away on December 11th after a very short illness. Born in Germany, Wanda immigrated as a young child to the United States. After growing up in Steger, IL and graduating from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL with a Bachelors in Marketing, Wanda married and is survived by her two children, Stephanie and Brian (Caroline) Zeman and her siblings, Irene (Bill Spittal) McLain and John (Patricia) Lesniak. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Victoria Lesniak, and brothers, Edward and Richard (Carol) Lesniak. On September 18, 2010, Wanda was united in marriage to her beloved husband, William Burton, who survives her. She was a proud Senior Developmental Book Editor for McGraw-Hill. While she loved her work, Wanda was passionate about traveling with Bill – particularly enjoying European Riverboat and Mediterranean Ocean Cruises throughout all of Europe and explorations to England and Ireland. Wanda was a consummate entertainer who enjoyed hosting her family for the holidays and gathering with friends for an annual New Years party. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00PM until time of Memorial Service 6:00PM at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515.
