Vera Neilly Obituary

Vera M. Neilly Vera Martha Neilly passed away on February 27, 2014 in Eugene, OR. Vera was born in Lemont, Illinois to Phillipp & Olga May on March 19, 1929. In 1947, she married Robert Wright Neilly and together they had four children. They were married 46 years until his death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Philip, Norwood and Clarence May; along with her sisters, Nina Sheehan and Mary Dolman. She is survived by twin sister, Vivian (Don) Hudgins. Vera worked for many years at Pepperidge Farm. She was an avid gardener and nature lover. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and cooking for others. Vera will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is also survived by sons, Robert and Richard; and daughters, Patricia (John) Soderberg and Peggy (Todd) Forbes; as well as eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service is being planned at Clarendon Hills Cemetery on May 17, 2014 at 10:00. Please email: [email protected] for details.

Mom adored watching her feathered friends up close. She was a huge fan of nature and able to identify birds by their calls. She would often "shush" me so we could listen together. Say "hi" to Dad! Pat (nee Neilly) Soderberg
