Troy and Marlene = "Joyce's little sister"

I was there that wonderful day my big sister Joyce met her Prince Charming "Troy". I swear it was love at first sight, and a few months later, my Big sister is happily married and I now have a BROTHER. The brother my mother couldn't give me, my sister did.
He truly was a big brother for me; always there when I needed him through my "growing pain" years. I swear the man had the patience of a saint; how else could he have put up with Sis and her two much younger siblings for all these years, not to mention the task of helping to raise two awsome sons. Between working two jobs most the time, raising two boys and always being there for Connie and I. He was a rock; a man you could always depend on.
Troy will be greatly missed by many. He was a man who never said "no" to anyone who asked him for help. Just ask anyone who knew him.
God Bless You Troy

Mr.Troy Sanders was a very kind hearted, and gentle soul, always offering a hand and kind words. He will be remembered and memories will be cherished from the weekend pool parties and gathering we shared at his home in Riverside, with our Aunt Joyce and our cousins. The family has lost a great and kindred spirit, and heaven has gained one of the finest angels. with love always till we see each other again. Your Nieces Sherry and Debbie

Although I did not know Troy Sr. well, I will always have fond memories of playing cards and laughing and smiling with him and my friends Troy, Jr. and Cathi at their home in Indiana. What fun we had!
God Bless.

What a smile! What a smile! Troy was a greeter at our church and K-Mart should have taken lessons! Troy opened the door, smiled and said "I'm SO glad you're here and meant it from the bottom of his heart; you knew it was sincere. I miss him so much when I arrive at church and the door just doesn't open as though it were automated, as it did when he was there. He made you glad to arrive and now God will do the same for him at the portals of Heaven. Troy was in my choir and I remember that he didn't want to join until he "got a little more familiar with our songs" as he told me the first few times I apporached him about joining. He was such a blessing once he did join --I put him right in the middlle of the choir and could see him grinning away on his favorite songs. What a joy he was to know! I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity. May God now hold you, Joyce, in the palm of His hand.

When most people think of super heroes, they picture men with capes and bulging muscles. I think of Papa.
He was the strongest person I know, physically, mentally, and spiritually. He could lift heavy hearts with his smile. He was always there when someone he knew was in need, with no thoughts of whether or not they would return the favor. If you ever needed him, he would be there faster than a speeding bullet. He was nearly invincible; the only thing that seemed to hurt him was seeing others suffer. But, what set him apart from other super heroes? It was, without a doubt, his heart. No one has ever loved with as much intensity as Papa. He was passionate about life, his family, and God.
Right now, I feel the same way I do when the movie ends- I want to rewind and go back, so I can see him again. But I know that he's in heaven, and everyone there is happy that he's arrived.

There never really was anyone quite like Grandpa. I have never quite known someone so dedicated to his family, or anyone who worked so hard to support his beliefs and credibility. Perhaps he was one of the most ideal figures to look up to in these hard times. There is no doubt in my mind that I, along with the rest of the community he influenced, won't live the same without him. He will be so dearly missed.

Troy was an outgoing Christian man. He would always greet you and was a friend to everyone. His testamonies were inspiring and filled with love for our saviour. Ill always remember the glow on his face the first Sunday that he sang in the choir, i told him how great he looked up there. So i an confident that he is now in heavens choir. He will be missed here but we will see him when we cross over to be with Jesus

Once upon a time a man met a woman watching a street band in Melrose Park, Illinois. Had God not chosen for these two people to meet...I would not have the wonderful husband and children that I have been blessed with. You have had a beautiful life and I will miss your stories and your smile. Thanks for the memories Papa. I will remember everything. By the way, when you play poker in Heaven....No cheating allowed!! I love you always. Catherine

I will always remember his wonderful smile. He was always a great help with the youth at the Bridgeview Church of God. He made all of the games for our family fest, pitched in and helped to set up. He will be greatly missed. I will see him again when I make it up to heaven where he is. God Bless the Family at this time. I am truly blessed for having known him.

I will always remember Bro. Troy's big smile and kind heart. Every Wednesday & Friday night he would be standing at the front door of the church waiting for people to arrive. When I walked in he would always give me a big smile and hug and tell me how glad he was that I was there. If I had to miss a service due to work, he never failed to tell me how he missed me and how happy he was that I was back. He called me "the piano girl".

I will truly miss him testifying on Wednesday night saying how much he loved our church and the people in it.

He was truly a remarkable man and I feel honored to have known him.

My Dad was strong, loving, kind, considerate, spiritual and the most honorable I ever knew.

Dad worked very hard to provide for us-sometimes 2 jobs or more. He took pride in the work he did and despite his busy schedule-he always made time to help family, friends and neighbors when they needed a hand.

Dad, thank you for always being there for me. I am so proud to be your namesake. I will miss you every single day.

Your loving Son.
