Sergio Verdicchio Obituary

Sergio Verdicchio, 64, a resident of Geneva, died Monday March 24, 2008 at his home. He was born in Naples, Italy, January 9, 1944, and was the oldest of a family of six who immigrated to Canada in 1961. Before retiring, Serge spent 40 years in the dental industry as Executive VP of Sales & Marketing and VP General Manager for dental distribution and manufacturing companies. He was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Geneva. He was a devoted, loving father and husband and an enthusiast of the Chicago Cubbies and DA Bears. Serge is preceded in death by his parents Luigi and Nunzia. He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty five years Joni, two loving children Jenna and Joseph, five brothers in Canada, Massimo (Rosanna), Fulvio (Kimberly), Giorgio (Vanessa), Marcello and Robert (Lisa), sister and brother in law Bonnie and Bob Dunn, Father in Law Joseph Dubiel, Mother in Law Margaret Slimko and 12 nieces and nephews. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at St. Mark's Church, 320 Franklin Street in Geneva on Saturday March 29th at 11:00 am.
