Ruth Walsh Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Walsh, age 90, a 60 year resident of Willowbrook, passed away. Beloved wife of George Walsh and preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Thilmont; loving mother of Frederick Thilmont, Carol (Stephen) Lewis, preceded in death by her son, David Thilmont and daughter, Sally Karesh; also, step-mother to April Walsh; cherished grandmother of Lisa, Amy, Aaron, Stacy, Michael, Adam, Larry, John, Jim, Lance, Stephanie, Jeffery, and Ashley; devoted great-grandmother of Vickie, Abby, Jesslyn, Elena, Alexander, Justine, John, Jordan, Brittany, Nick and Kohl; dear sister of Joan (John) LaGuff of Wisconsin. Preceded in death my her parents, David and Anna Anderson; siblings, Virginia Matteson, David Anderson, and Walter Anderson. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Clarendon Hills, new parishioner of Marquette Manor Baptist Church. Mrs. Walsh was an accomplished musician who played piano and the organ for church, and as a duet with her husband George in lodge functions and parties. She loved coffee, animals, and had a green thumb. She taught Sunday School for many years. Visitation was Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 4-9 p.m. at Toon Funeral Home, 109 N. Cass Ave., Westmont, IL.
