Roosevelt Hall Obituary

ROOSEVELT E. HALL, age 81 years of Whiteford, MD died at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Forest Hill Health Center in Forest Hill, MD. He was the husband of JoAnne (Ellis) Hall who died on March 1, 1996. Mr. Hall was born in Red Lion, PA on August 27, 1927 a son of the late Roosevelt Hannigan and Ivy Cecilia (Parthree) Hall. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He resided in Orlando, FL, Olney, MD and for the past 10 years in Whiteford, MD. Mr. Hall worked in research at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and later retired from The Bean Farm, a cattle farm in Olney, MD which he managed. He was devoted to his late cats, Tom and Jerry. He is survived by three children: Deborah A. Hall of Rockville, MD Thomas E. Hall and wife Stacy J. of Bristow, VA Sandra Hall Davidson and husband Gene H. of Frederick, MD Two grandsons:Thomas E. Hall, Jr. and Corey E. Davidson One sister:Jane E. Hall of Delta One brother:Lane O. Hall and wife Wilma of Delta Also survived by many loving nieces. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA Pastor James Johnson of the Dublin United Methodist Church will officiate. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Delta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 31 Hopkins Plaza, Room 1229, Baltimore, MD 21201.
