Robert Brennan Obituary

Grandiose; in one word this is Robert "Bob" Brennan. Born March 29th 1942 in Titletown, USA; Green Bay, WI. Became an Angel April 16, 2011. This wild, fun loving, life long Packer enthusiast of an Irishman was always the" life of the party." Adjectives were words used to describe him: personality plus, funny, loyal, loving, quick-witted, adventurous, exciting & spontaneous. He moved to Chicago and began this amazing adventure that was his life. Some fiction authors couldn't have written a greater story but for Bob it was amazing and true, for it was his life! He sold scientific equipment for years which led him to publishing. He published two best selling books then moved to Nashville where he was part owner in three parenting publications and founded M.D. News a business and practice management magazine with 47 different additions done across America. His business accomplishments and continuous support of charities earned him special recognition as a Kentucky and Tennessee Colonel and Alabama Admiral. One trait carried on from his mother was the belief in helping others and giving what you can when the Lord has blessed you. Every Thanksgiving he delivers crisp $5 bills to every child at the Children's Mission. The looks on their faces as captured by the Tennessean one year is priceless. This tradition will be continued yearly by his CPA firm in his honor. Bob Brennan lived an amazing adventure he called his life. He worked hard and really saw the sky as the limit, and everything he wanted to be obtainable. As he joins those who preceded him: his mother Deloris Brennan; sister, Mary Brennan Riley; and brother's Michael and Tom Brennan. Leaving behind his son, older brother, niece, great-nephew and countless friends that will forever be changed by the loss of this great man! As he raised his glass in a toast to you and yours, he surly would have said sorry I missed you, but I hope you a grandiose day! The family asks that instead of sending flowers you make a donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bob! Written by his #1 niece with love. Dear Rob, Patrick, Kelly, and Pat,

Your loyalty and love of your dad,
Rob, your uncle, Patrick and Kelly, and your dear friend, Pat, is touching. Each of you have had to struggle through his illness with him, and you have nursed and comforted him galliantly. You have many memories that will, hopefully, nurture you through this very difficult time.

Bob was indeed one of a kind. He had a twinkle in his eye and displayed flamboyance in everything he did, but under it all was a sweet, sentimental, and kind man who would often expose his softer and more serious side.

Here's to horse and buggy rides, great parties, Tom and Gerry's, and other heavenly pursuits, Bob.

Bob Brennan was larger than life, alight in a dark room, and always ready to give a toast. He was also my Uncle, my favorite Uncle to be exact and I miss him so much that I can't seem to find the bottom of my sadness. Not because I have any regrets, but because I regret that more people in this world won't get to know him. He taught me so much, but more importantly he loved me through all my faults, childish mistakes, and continued to encourage me till the very end. He always believed in me and stirred me in the right direction with gentle nudging and sometimes with the determination that only a stubborn Irishman could have! None the less, I am a better person because of this man. I miss him so much already but I am pleased that I have written this for him so that maybe you will remember him and know him as I did....100% Wonderful!!!Thank you all for your kind words about a truly one of a kind person! My cousins and I appreciate you all very much!

I will miss my dear Bob, he was such a fun loving guy. He could throw a party like no other.
Having a horse drawn buggie for an evening and making sure all his guests had a ride.
He would work for weeks on his party plans and insisted on making many of the dishes, and his famous punch named Tom and Jerry.
It was always his pleasure to see everyone enjoy the evening.
Bob loved to help people too.
He would always say " I got jobs with you." Which really meant he wanted to help whenever he could.
Bob was so special there really aren't words to explain him. I am just so happy he crossed the path of my life.
I hope all who knew him will raise a glass of Champain and toast Bob.

It was both my privilege and honor to be Bob's hospice RN for the past few weeks. He was a gentleman of class and wit and I am blessed for having had the opportunities I had to spend time with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
