Rebecca R. Hudrlik
Rebecca Rae Hudrlik, known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Mimi", died peacefully in her sleep at New Perspective Senior Living in Sun Prairie, WI on February 3, 2023. Becky was born on December 6, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Jeanette and Sigurd Jones. She grew up in LaGrange, IL graduating from Lyons Township High School. Becky loved to dance and won a few dance contests doing "the chicken" at The Corrall, a local place where kids can go after school. On June 6, 1959, she married Timothy J. Burdon in LaGrange, IL. Within a few years, they moved to Metz, France where Tim was stationed in the Army. After his honorable discharge, they moved back to LaGrange where their two children, Julie Burdon Foerman and Clifford Burdon, were born. They moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 1974 where they raised their children. Becky worked for several corporations including her favorite position as an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Carnegie Group, Inc. Becky moved to Wisconsin in 1988 following the unexpected early passing of Tim in late 1987. She lived in Portage, WI for five years down the street from her only sibling, Kathleen Howell. She moved back to the western Chicago suburbs where she fell in love with and married her husband, Glenn Hudrlik. Glenn and Becky were married on May 31, 1997. Glenn and Becky enjoyed traveling, and in 2007, they moved to Tucson, AZ. Julie and Becky's grandson, Timothy McKittrick, moved to Tucson to be closer to Mimi. Mimi had a scare and successfully survived cancer. They loved their time in Tucson, but they missed their family and friends in Chicago. Glenn and Becky moved back to Chicago in 2012. In 2013, Julie was diagnosed with a rare disease and died after contracting pneumonia. Glenn and Becky moved to Wisconsin in 2017 to be closer to Cliff and his family. Glenn and Becky have been at New Perspective ever since.
Becky had a love for life and people that is rarely seen. She woke up in the morning singing songs. She would walk into Walgreen's and instantly become best friends with the entire staff. Her love of fashion and decorating kept her constantly busy. Becky was a great piano player and a gifted typist. Becky was an outstanding cook. Becky had a huge heart, and she shared it with anyone she met. Becky is survived by her husband Glenn Hudrlik; her son Clifford C.
