Phyllis Paul Obituary

Phyllis Paul nee Baltis, 55-year resident of Riverside and formerly of Western Springs. Beloved wife of L. James Paul; adored mother of Deborah Paul-Stewart, Susan (Michael) Kostelny-Woerner, James W. (Ginger), William L. (Susan), Regina (Douglas) Fiala, and Thomas E. (Dana); darling grandmother of 16 and precious Great-Grandmother of 1; dear daughter of the late Walter S. and Marie R. Baltis; fond niece of Winnie N. Ziarko; cherished sister of Joan Lindstrom, Bonnie (Robert) Hutchison, Rita Sheese, and Ruth Carroll; loving aunt of 9 nieces and nephews. Phyllis' was a Member and Past President of Riverside Garden Club, prizewinner in floral arrangement at the Chicago Garden Show, imaginative Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother, Member of PTA at Blythe Park School, the Riverside Forestry Commission, the Riverside Fortnightly Club, the Riverside Dance Club, and the Riverside Golf Club. A beautiful woman inside and out, Phyllis was known for her striking smile, kindness, service to others, forgiveness, consideration, creativity, intelligence and love of people. Phyllis passed gracefully on December 26, 2008 in the early morning hours and drew her last breath with her husband and children at her side. She will be forever missed by her family as well as many friends and acquaintances. Funeral Services Tuesday, Dec.30 at Ivins Funeral Home, 80 E.
