Peter B. Follo

Died: Nov. 27, 2014

Peter B. Follo, 80, of Elmhurst, died peacefully on November 27th, surrounded by family. He was born on February 12, 1934 and grew up in Lancaster, Wisconsin.

He is preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Joan M. Follo.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Brad and his son, Zachary (10) of Camarillo, CA and Bruce and his wife DeeDee; and their 2 children, Garett (23) and Samantha (18) of Oconomowoc, WI.

Peter worked for the 3M Company for 30 years. Prior to 3M he was with Kodak. Peter was very involved with Epiphany Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years as well as being the church historian. He had an intense passion for trains. Peter proudly served in the Navy for many years and took much pride in being involved with Boy Scouts, including earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed spending summers with Joan, family and friends at their summer home in Lancaster, WI.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Healthcare providers at Plymouth Place for taking exceptional care of Peter over the last 8 years. The compassion that was shown to Peter will not be forgotten.

Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014, and at Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 314 W. Vallette St., Elmhurst from 10:00 a.m. until time of Service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
