Mildred E. Arndt
Mildred E. Arndt, 86, formerly of Lower Nazareth Twp., died February 22, 2007 in North Cape May Care Center, Cape May, N.J. She was the wife of the late Paul J.E. Arndt who died June 5, 1998. Mildred was born December 3, 1920 in Bethlehem Twp. daughter of the late Warren and Esther (Fisher) Siegfried. She was a magistrate in Lower Nazareth Twp. and she was a notary public from 1958 to 1990. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hecktown, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She was a 4-H leader in Lower Nazareth Twp. for more than 45 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Garden Club. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Hecktown Fire Company. Survivors: Daughter, Carolyn wife of Rev. George Schmidt Jr., Cape May, N.J.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Arndt of Lower Nazareth Twp.; brothers, Leonard and Ernest Siegfried; sisters, Hilda Lahr and Virginia Bakos, all of Lower Nazareth Twp.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Predeceased son, Robert G. Arndt, who died May 2, 2005, and brothers, Walter and Harold Siegfried and sister, Lois Siegfried, all died earlier. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Hecktown. Call 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, in Reichel Funeral Home, Nazareth and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 323 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Dear Carolyn and George,
We were sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. I used to see her at the grocery store once in a while. She was a special lady and surely will be missed.

Mildred was a very wonderful woman. She taught me so much in 4H. She meant alot to me. May her beautiful spirit fly with the angels in heaven.
