Meredith Williams Obituary

Hello,
I represent Prayer Shawls for Fallen Soldiers (PS4FS), an organization that since October 2007 has sent over 4,142 prayer shawls to military families who have lost a loved one. We are an organization of over 259 groups all over the country. We make every effort to reach families even when postcards are returned after they have moved. Dear Pam and Jim,
As we look out our window we see the home in Lemont where we first met the both of you and your little Meri. We hold those memories dear. With October 31st fast approaching, the celebration of Meri's birthday, we pray for continued strength to get you thru the first of many holidays that will be so hard to bear. Know that there are many who will be sending prayers your way.

I am so incredibly sorry you are having to suffer the loss of Meri. It's not supposed to happen this way and unfortunately life can be so unfair. I was so saddened to hear the news of Meri's passing. She was a wonderful and genuine person and I have many fond memories of her from gymnastics at the Y. How sad to hear of Meridith's passing. It's been a while and you might not remember me but I still have fond memories of your family. Just a few weeks back, while looking at some old newspaper clips I couldn't help but notice Meridith and Nicole smiling at the school board meeting when they were honored with the winning school district card design. When our daughter Jennifer told us about the loss of your daughter, we were so saddened, having gone through this 20 years ago ourselves.

Hopefully your family and friends will be there to give you the strength to carry on as she would want you to do.

I'm saddened to hear about your loss. I never had the honor of meeting your daughter, but I've read many wonderful things about her. I'm thinking of you both during this difficult time.

If I was having a bad day, she would change that and tell a funny story. Your daughter will be missed by so many. She brought happiness into my life and so many others.

Mr. and Mrs Williams. My time at oniell, was wonderfull. But It wouldnt have been very awesome without Meri. Every morning that i came into early bird, she would cross the boundries from being just my teacher, into being somone who i would consider one of my good freinds. Instead of just helping me with pre algebra, she would help me with girls, or home problems, as well as just the process of growing up..Ms. Williams is a wonderfull person and anyone who was lucky enough to know her should count their blessings. -Student

My life crossed with Meri's almost 2 years ago. I feel so blessed to have been apart of her life. She touched me in many ways. My sons, Matthew and Michael Scouten were in Mr. williams superior science class several years ago. We think of Mr. Williams often and fondly as a positive influence on our childrens lives and education.Meredeth was in the same high school graduating class as Michael. Mike told me that he spoke to Meredith several months ago said that she was a wonderful person - one of the good people that he knew. We can't imagine the pain that you are going thru. Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and Mrs. Williams as you grief for Meredeth.

We always thought of you as a gift from God when he brought you into our lives on Halloween Day. We cherished that gift and loved you unconditionally as you followed your journey through the ups and downs of growing up. That journey had many sweet, happy days, but as with most roads, there were always bumps and detours. Our Father decided on January 31st that your time on Earth was done, and took you home again where you with have eternal peace and happiness. Keep smiling, my love, and praying that your mom and dad will be able to endure a life without you, your smile, and your heart of gold. I don't know what to say. I know how much Mary meant to you...the world. I know because my boys mean everything to me. I remember when Eric was in 4th grade and we worked together, we would talk about them both as children, having hopes and dreams for their future. How time has flown. My heart aches for you both.
