Maryanne Olson

Maryanne Olson, age 89 of Downers Grove: Friend to all, caregiver, Fulbright Scholar, teacher, homebound tutor, writer, mentor, candy maker, Korean adoption greeter, platelet donor, long and faithful member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Downers Grove, choir member and Deacon. Loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Maryanne was a force of nature. Her endless energy along with her kindness and compassion towards others was an inspiration to all who knew her. After raising four boys, she enjoyed traveling the world with Dick, her husband of over 40 years.
To those of us who loved her and friends lucky enough to know her well, she will be sadly missed.
Maryanne is preceded in death by her husband Richard and her son Paul. She is survived by her sister Sue (Bob), sons Rick (Vera), Carl (Missy) and Mark, grandsons Nick (Chelsea) and Eric, granddaughters Andria (Bryan) and Lindsay (mother Arlys), great grandson Benjamin and nephew Steven (Charlotte).
