Dear Flickinger family
I just read the notice in the Dec.- Jan issue of the Chicago Teacher's Union newsletter. Somehow I missed the notice in the Tribune. I have known Mary and Ed since 1955 when I first came to Burbank Elementary School to teach Handicapped Children. We have been friends ever since. Mary was an active member of the Chicago Council for Exceptional Children as I was. We lost touch over the last years since my retirement but I will never forget her. She was a wonderful person, a great therapist and very dedicated to working with disabled children. She was always cheerful. We shared a love of the Lyric Opera also. I know that you miss her very much but she leaves behind wonderful memories.

Dear Patti, Mike, and all the Palmers and Flickingers,
Our sincerest sympathy on your mom's passing. What a life she lived. We feel privileged to have met her and spent time at the lake with her. It was easy to see why you are all such caring people when one met your parents. God bless all.

Patti, Michael, all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren - My deepest sympathy is with you at this time of sadness. Aunt Mary was one of my favorites, loved to hug and laugh...always a chipper person! I was sorry I couldn't make it to the service today but you were in my thoughts. May all the wonderful memories last a lifetime with you. Take care - Love Mary Dudek

Patti and Mike, Your mom was a wonderful woman - so accomplished. But as a pair, Mary and Ed were more than two people. What a duo. It's been an honor to know both of them all of these years. Our condolences to the family - our love and thoughts are with all of you. Love, Gail and Denny
