My sincere sympathy to Dr Paul & family. I have a letter written to send her so we could plan a get together.
We go back since college days. The tears rolled when I went on line and found she has found peace. Bless her heart , take care Paul, love, Bonnie Lou Hill, and family.

I was so sorry to read about Mary Jo's passing. We all liked Mary Jo very much and thought of her more as a friend than a customer. She always showed such enthusiasm and friendship in everything she did.
I will keep her in my prayers.

To Mary Jo's family: I more than likely won't make it there today due to the short notice, but she was always very gracious to me. She will be missed.

Mary Jo was such a vibrant and passionate spirit with such deep commitment to everything in which she believed. Few pass through life and earn the respect of others like she did. She was a woman of such great dignity and integrity. She was a mentor and wonderful friend to many and the presence of her absence will be everywhere. I prayer for the courage and strength of her family and many friends as they walk this road of grief and deal with the harsh reality of this incalculable loss. I will miss her. May her memory be eternal.

Rest in peace, MJ...how you kept so busy and focused I do not know...more energy than ten women. Hard to think about MJ without thinking of Paul, the girls and the pets...so much to smile about. I remember when one of the cats knocked Grandma Larsen's glasses off and stole the pizza from her mouth at same time, hahaha. I remember one of the girl's chameleon's tail had been broken off and another sister scotch taped it back on...no one ever knew who did it, hahaha. I remember driving MJ up to Lake Geneva for a meeting and we needed gas...and we couldnt get the gas cap unlocked, trunk lid going up/down, windshield wipers going on/off and we were laughing so hard the station attendant finally walked away shaking his head. Life can be a hoot even with the darkness we all face.

Mary Jo was my forth grade teacher and our class sang at her wedding. That was a thrill for all of us and something I still remember fondly. My deepest and most sincere sympathy goes out to her entire family.

Mary Jo was a "Stateswoman" in the true sense of the word. She has left Illinois and theU. S. a better place do to her undying work and desire for Good Government and to recruit competent and knowledgeable women to run for elective office. She is a model in hard work, dedication, knowledge and devotion to high ideals in government all should follow. We all will miss her.

It is really sad news. Xilin Association & Asian Community Center at Naperville lost a board member, a strong supporter, and I lost a dear friend and mentor. Mary Jo has watched Xilin grow in the suburbs and taught us how to stand up in the community. From the days I first got to know her, I have learned so much. She taught me to be interested in politics because you need to watch your own, and your organization’s interests. As an immigrant, Mary Jo taught me the American values. She came to our last board meeting, only a few weeks ago. She fought until the last minutes of her life with the mission of helping others. She always told me that God needs her to work and so many things need to be done, so she needs to keep working. Personally I can’t believe she could go through all kinds of cancer treatment for so many years when most of us would have been knocked out with only a few weeks of treatment. She attended Xilin’s functions, board meetings all in between the chemo treatments. Mary Jo was good not only to Xilin. I know many women who have told me the same story of how this wonderful woman encouraged them to stand up and get involved. I can’t believe she is really gone. To me, she will always be there with us.
