Dear Phyllis, I just learned tonight of Mark's passing. I am stunned and so saddened. I know you know that he was the most wonderful choir director....the 10 years I spent under his direction are very fond memories of mine. I am in Chicago tonight, visiting from Tucson...and after a rare and precious gathering tonight with the Mackinnons and Warrens, I am alone watching a production on TV of Handel's Messiah. Thinking of you and Mark and all those years in the CCOB choir. Keeping you in prayer and sending much love. - Rhonda Warren

What sad news this is. It's been over 20 years since crossing paths, but I can still remember Officer Johnson and his DARE Bear coming into our school. What a KIND man I remember him to be. If he left that type of lasting inpression on a stranger in a class full of students, I cannot imagine the loss his family is feeling right now.
My condolences to everyone who knew and loved him.
