Marilyn Miller-Smith Obituary

Marilyn Miller-smith Marilyn Miller-Smith, age 78, of Prophetstown, Illinois, passed away, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at her home. She was born, June 29, 1935 in Geneseo, Illinois to Ernest Samuel and Leora (Klobes) Miller. Marilyn was educated in the Geneseo Grade Schools and was a 1953 graduate of Geneseo High School. She was married to, Leon R. Franck, February 14, 1956, in Geneseo. She was also married to, Wayne P. Smith, April 2, 1983 in Woodridge, Illinois. Marilyn was employed for over 40 years in the floral business, most recently for Lacy 's Amazing Vase Too in Prophetstown. She was a member of Prophetstown United Methodist Church and had various volunteer roles in church ministries. She was survived by one daughter, Sherilyn (Tim) Murphy of Minooka, Illinois; one son, Scott (Lisa) Franck of Houston, Texas; one stepdaughter, Susan (Shawn) Foltz of Prophetstown; two stepsons, Dan Smith of Media, Pennsylvania and Tim Smith of Tiffin, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, one brother, one sister-in-law, friend and companion, Loren Huizenga of Prophetstown. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, Wayne Smith; one son, Kevin Franck; one grandson, and three brothers. Funeral service was held, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown. Officiated by, Rev. Cheri Stewart Interment Riverside Cemetery. Memorials to Pat 's Table, Prophetstown United Methodist Church, and University of Iowa Hospital Cancer Research Department are appreciated. To send online condolences, go to www.bosmagibson.com.
