Mrs. Morello was my 5 th grade teacher 26 years ago. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but I was filled with warm memories of her. I wonder today how she made it through the teaching day in high heels! She was a classy lady. She was warm, friendly, smart, and strong wrapped in a tweed pencil skirt. Above all she patiently let students linger after school to receive the nurturing they longed for, just by listening...She was one of my favorite teachers and I can see her in my mind like it was yesterday. Many share in your loss...

Mrs. Morello (it's so odd to see her referred to as "Peg"!) was my 4th grade teacher at Puffer School 40 years ago. She remains to this day my favorite teacher (even having completed a Masters Degree). She was unfailing kind and understanding to a small awkward child, even when meting out well-deserved admonishments. She was the gold-standard of elementary school teachers. I think of her often and extend my deepest sympathy to her family.
