Lois Robert Prindle

Born: Oct. 24, 1927

Died: Feb. 4, 2016

Lois Robert Prindle passed away on February 4, 2016, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. For the last few years of her life she suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

Lois was born on October 24, 1927, in Chicago. She grew up on Chicago's south side with her parents, Amelia and Arthur Robert. Lois was the oldest daughter, with younger twin sisters, Jane (Richard) McElfresh and Joan (Robert) Sattler. Lois attended Morgan Park High School, the University of Chicago, and Purdue University where she received her bachelor's degree. At Purdue, Lois met Don and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage until Don's death in 2003. Lois raised her family in Elmhurst, IL and moved to Batavia after her youngest went to college.

Throughout her life, Lois enjoyed cooking, knitting, refinishing furniture, and craft projects of all description. She was a lifelong learner who enjoyed taking classes in subjects that interested her. Lois and Don enjoyed traveling with their RV, taking many camping trips in the United States. Once retired, they also had several opportunities to travel to various countries around the world. Lois belonged to many social/service clubs throughout her life, most recently, the Batavia Women's Club, the Red Hatters, and the Lois Club. She also was a health & fitness enthusiast and a 4-time cancer survivor. She was a member of Christ Church of Oakbrook and the Congregational Church of Batavia.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Paula and husband, Paul Kanter; son, Perry and wife, Gay Lee; and son, Ross and wife, Camille. She has 7 grandchildren, Dana (Travis) Murdock, Erik (Catherine) Kanter, Catherine Prindle, and Alexander, Gabrielle, Juliette and Danielle Prindle.

We have so many happy memories of Lois Prindle. She was a beacon of light and never ceased to amaze us at her zest for life. She will be dearly missed. Our deepest sympathy to all those who loved her.
