Leslie F. Parrish

Former Downers Grove resident Leslie F. Parrish, 84, of Winnsboro, TX, passed away at his home on January 31, 2021. He was born in Chicago to the late Lyle and Isla (Peterson) Parrish. After graduating from Downers Grove High School in 1954, he joined the Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. He then attended Northwestern University graduating with a bachelors degree in Finance. Leslie worked for years in Chicago before moving to Dallas, TX, where in 1993 he retired from Bank of America as VP Municipal Bond Underwriting. During retirement he lived many years in Eagle River, WI, later returning to Texas to be closer to family.

Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife of 40 years Carol (Hickey) Parrish, daughters Debra Parrish (Downers Grove, IL) and Laura Palumbo (Winnsboro, TX), his former wife Constance (Johnson) Kiley (Downers Grove, IL), a sister Kathleen (Elmo) Patrick (Downers Grove, IL), grandchildren Kyle Parrish, Nichole Clark, John Leslie Gray, Devon Newman, Danielle Stewart, Dillon Stewart, and six great-grandchildren.

Anyone who wishes may donate in his name to the Alzheimer's Foundation at act.alz.org. Cremation arrangements through Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
