LaVerne de Jonge Obituary

LaVerne Frances de Jonge, nee Smith, 94, passed away October 12, 2008, a recent resident of The Birches in Clarendon Hills and formerly of the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago. Beloved wife of the late William Daniel; loving mother of Bill (Mary), of LaGrange; devoted grandmother of Ryan; dear sister of the late William J. (late Dorothy) Smith; fond aunt of many. Visitation 3-9pm Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where service will be held at 11am on Friday. Private interment at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 515, Northhampton, MA 01061., appreciated. Arrangements by Hallowell & James Funeral Home, (708) 352-6500.

My heart grieves for you at this time of loss. LaVerne enjoyed the blessings of life and especially her precious grandson, Ryan. May you always treasure the memories of her life. May God comfort you and give you peace during this time of sorrow.
