Kimberly Harwart Obituary

Kimberly Jan Harwart, age 53, slept away July 10th, 2010. She had been in ill health for several years. Kimberly was the beloved daughter of Mary Jane and the late Edward Harwart. She was born in San Diego, California October 1, 1956. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley, California and attended Lutheran parochial schools, participating in choir, athletic activities and Campfire Girls. When the family moved to Monroe Michigan, she attended high school and the School of Cosmetology there. Moving to Elmhurst, she worked at Gottlieb Industries where she earned special attention for her speed and assembly skills. Hawaii called, she lived there from 1975-1978. Back in Illinois, she joined the U.S. Army Reserves and served out her tour of duty. Later, she drove a school van for a child care organization. Kimberly made friend easily and will be missed for her willingness to listen. She is survived by her mother; brother, Edward Allan; sister, Carol Linda; and aunt, Mrs. Alma Schmidt. Memorial Service Sunday, August 8, 2010, 3 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 130 W. Butterfield Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Lutheran Brail Workers, Box 5000, Yucaipa, CA 92399.
