Kevin had a million dollar smile,and was a great presence when I was in his company.He would change the mood in the room for the positive and didnt have a mean bone in his body. I am a lucky person to have been his friend,he will be greatly missed. His legacy is his daughter,a gift he gave to this world, I'll miss you Kevin!!!My heart goes out to the Sciortino family,Kelly and Kelsey at this sad time.We are All blessed to have had him in our lives!!!

I'm not sure what to say because I'm beside myself over your \ our loss.
Don't have to explain to you how close Kevin and I where. I'm sure If I havn't moved away we would still be close as we where growing up. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for the memorial. But as you already know Kev and I have so many memories..I love and miss you all..Still know your phone # by heart..I picked up the phone the other day to call. but I couldn't, when I'm capable of handle my emotions expect my call

My brother, Robert Griesman, was a close friend and coworker of Kevin Sciortino. I lost Bob a year ago, and now Kevin is gone as well. I know Bob and Kevin are together in heaven, beause I hear the sound of their laughter and feel the warmth of their spirits.

I can not express how saddened we all are over Kevin's passing. It just doesn't seem real. I can remember the first time we all hung out at his pool and how much fun we had that day. His great smile and charisma...so strong, kind hearted and good looking. I can only imagine how much all of you will miss him. I will carry wonderful memories of Kevin in my heart. To Ms. Sciortino (Marge), Susie, Mary, Patty, Scotty and Chuckie, we would like to express our deepest condolences to each of you during this extremely difficult time of sorrow and grief for the Sciortino family. Kevin was a very unique individual that words alone cannot describe. Many, many people can share very fond memories of him and what a character he could be. He displayed charisma, individuality and quite a sense of humor! He could make it very difficult to hold a grudge against him, that's for sure. He will be missed greatly by so many, including us.

To Kelsey,

Never forget that your father loved you more than you can imagine. Keep him dear to your heart and even dearer in your memories. The last time I saw your father he spoke of you with a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face. He was very proud of you. Always remember he will be watching you from above, always.

I have not seem him in a while but when he would come over and pick Kelsey up when I would babysit her we would sit and talk and I thougt he was and still is a great person. Kevin...oh how my mind travels back in time to Thanksgiving time as a child. How we would do sleep overs at grandmas, laughing to the point of getting in trouble with grandma. She would sit in the chair till we fell asleep. The times you, Chucky, Jo and I would spend time just hanging around. How we loved to visit Chicago <3 Just was not often enough! I loved Cathy O's thoughts, oh how I could not even process the loss of a child. Aunt Margret you are so loved as Susie, Scotty, Patty, Mary and Chucky <3 My heart is so sad to think Kevin is no longer with us here, but I know he is watching over everyone most especially Kelsey. We will so miss your laugh, your smile was so captivating. Rest in peace Kevin and say hello to grandma and give her a big hug for me!

I will miss Kevin so much, and think of him with many fond memories--especially that enormous bonfire that captivated my nephew! What a fun day that was! Such a great guy; he always made me laugh...

Dear Mrs. Sciortino,
Your loss is so enormous that I find there are no words to comfort. Though I do not know your pain, I know your grief is most serious. If the future seems overwhelming, remember that it comes one moment at a time.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. Kevin will participate in every act, thought and decision you make. He leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.

What I have experienced is that you don’t get over it, you just get through it; you don’t get by it, because you can’t get around it. It doesn’t get better; it just gets different. I truly believe those that die still live in our hearts and are never really gone. I hope that as time goes on just the loving, fun memories remain.

I can't imagine your feeling of loss. I have always thought that loosing a child would be the absolute heartbreak. Loosing a brother can't be much easier. But like with all things we somehow go on. Our prayers are with you all for strength and eventual peace.

Kevin you were my # 6 and I have said you were born a old man. You were so ahead of your time crawling around the floor, up and down the stairs. Walking, talking and what ever came natural to you at such a early age. At five going to Wood Dale jr. High with me at lunch time. Sue & Patty were in 8th & 7th grade at the time. Scott in 5th, Mary in 4th and Chuck was in 1st grade. We had a lot of love & backing from Gram A & Uncle John from him
getting you all your first bikes and Uncle John was still there until the end. I guess I could keep going on & on there is so many good times & good memories. Love you and I know that you have found peace. You are in our hearts and minds with love always.
