Kenneth Hainsworth Obituary

Former Glen Ellyn resident, Kenneth (Ken) C. Hainsworth, 74, peacefully died on Saturday, July 19 surrounded by loved ones in Belen, New Mexico. After retiring from the police force in 1970, the former Northlake police sergeant started, with his best friend, Midas Decorating and eventually worked for Cote Decorating. Ken and his loving wife, Peggy, of 40 years, then moved to New Mexico in 1997 where they cared for her parents and he could enjoy being outdoors, fishing and hunting. Ken was a member of the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez and a Mason, who belonged to the Bethlehem Lodge of Belen, New Mexico. Known as "Mr. H" by many Glenbard West High School students, Ken always had a sense of humor and liked hosting Halloween parties where he'd always try to scare his daughter "Becky" and her friends. Ken is survived by his wife, Peggy Michelle (Martin) Hainsworth, and five children, Vicki Lewis, Kenneth A., Jeffery and wife, Cindy, Jacqueline Custable and husband, Sam, and Rebekah Hainsworth Robson and her husband, Steve; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sympathies can be sent to Ms. Hainsworth at 500 N. Fourth St. Belen, NM 87002 or sign an online register book at www.romerofuneralhomenm.com.
