Kelly Honn, 57, of Downers Grove, passed away on November 18, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Kelly was born January 3, 1961, in Duluth Minnesota and spent most of her life in Downers Grove, IL. She attended Downers Grove North High School and went on to get bachelor's degrees from the University of Illinois, Chicago and Benedictine College in Business Finance and Nursing respectively.
Kelly's passion was helping others. She was able to live this dream through her job at Brightstar Care, where she was the Director of Nursing, In 2016, Kelly won the prestigious Brightstar Nurse of the Year Award. Kelly's clients and patients raved about her because of the passion and commitment she showed by putting them first and providing top quality care.
Kelly was married to Bob Honn for 32 years and they had 2 sons, Michael, currently a student at University of Arizona in Tucson Az. and Kevin, a teacher at Oak Park River Forest High School.
Surviving are her sister, Carolyn Michalak and sons, Michael and Kevin.
A private Gathering of Family and Friends to Honor the Life of Kelly will be held in early 2019.
