Kathleen O'Connell Obituary

Kathleen A. O'Connell, 64, a 30-year resident of LaGrange, passed away August 8, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Kathleen was born July 31, 1944 in Chicago, IL. She worked for 15 years with her daughter at Fitzgerald's Fine Stationery in Oak Park, IL. Kathleen was involved for many years and active at St. Cletus School in LaGrange and at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 10am to 12 noon at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, followed by a 12:30pm Mass at St. Cletus Church in LaGrange. Interment will be private. Kathleen is survived by her husband, John J. "Jack" O'Connell; children, Mamie (Larry) Fitzgerald, Kary (David) Duncan, Kristen (Robert) Burbano, John O'Connell and Katherine O'Connell; grandchildren, Stephen, John, Anna and Mary Cate Fitzgerald, Connor, Maeve and Jack Duncan and Sophia and Genevieve Burbano; siblings, Thomas (Janet) Higgins and Donna Higgins and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kate O'Connell Memorial Fund, c/o Mount St. Joseph Home, 24955 North U.S. Highway 12, Lake Zurich, IL 60047 would be appreciated by the family.
