We love the Trabert family and have fond memories of good times at St.Thomas the Apostle and the neighborhood. We regret that we are just finding out about Karen's passing, but want to send our deepest compassion and comfort. I can imagine The Christmas holiday will be very hard, so keep her memories close to your heart. I think I remember that she loved the Christmas season. She will be with you in every smile and laugh and tears. God bless you and your families. Love, from The Derpack family.

Dear Tood and Ashley; I'm so saddened by your mom's sudden passing . She spoke of you two with the greatest of love, pride and devotion. I will cherish the memories of teaching fitness with Karen and entertaining each other in Naples. Last night I took out a small bowl for dinner, and it was Karen's; she left it the last time we were at my house. May all your wonderful memories bring you comfort.

I went to college with Karen. I heard of her passing at Valparaiso University this past weekend. This was our 40th reunion year. I only have memories of Karen from college. Her full tank of good energy and always happy personality is a vivid and sweet memory. I was very sad to hear of her untimely death. My sincere condolences to her family.

I met Karen though a real estate deal my mom and I had with her. Karen was great to work with. She was a wonderful, caring woman who will be greatly missed. She stepped up and helped greatly with the ADA walk when Coldwell banker got involved with it. My ccondolances to the family for your loss.

We at Riverwalk Adult Day Services are saddened to hear of Karen's passing. She was such a friend of the Center (formerly Ecumenical Adult Care) long after Mike attended. She was a hero caregiver and strong supporter of adult day services. Condolences to her husband, children and family.

Karen, It was with great sadness that I heard about your untimely passing. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have stuck with "spinning" as long as I did - you made it so fun that the time passed quickly. I remember one day coming to EHFC for your class with my toddler daughter in my arms. You were walking in with Michael and I still remember how sweetly he spoke to my little one (she's 22 now!) I saw how you were so upbeat about life when you would have had every excuse to be anything but. Your stories of your family and your fun pursuits made my day, and you were always quick to show off the latest pictures of your grandkids. Having you as a neighbor made it even better, planting flags around the neighborhood on 4th of July! I can't believe you aren't living at the end of our street anymore. Blessings and peace to your family!

Rest in peace my dear friend. The memories we have together will live with us forever. You had the biggest heart and it showed in every part of your life. You were the true meaning of " Friend." I will miss you but know you are with your best friend, Michael Trabert. Hugs Forever.
