Kai Moseid, age 52 of Neillsville, WI passed away on August 16, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family.
Kai Nickolay Moseid was born on June 23, 1971 in Chicago, IL, the son of Finn ad Karin (Rakkestad) Moseid. Kai worked construction his entire life. He was proud to work for Kraus-Anderson Construction out of the Twin Cities, MN. Kai and his late father-in-law developed a leave-in place concrete form in which he received a US Patent for in 2009. He was very proud of his patent. On December 10, 1994, he was united in marriage to Cindy K. Hultman in Chicago, IL. Together they had three beautiful daughters that were so very dear to Kai. They were his life. In 2010, he and his family moved to Neillsville, WI where he restored the "Cornelius House" back to its original beauty.
Kai was a huge Chicago Bears fan and he loved letting everyone know it. He loved being on his property in Hatfield, drinking Oldstyle, fishing and being on the pontoon in the backwaters. He loved watching Kaia ride horses, and spending time with Ellie and Cali at his property. He enjoyed his yearly trips with his ATV Crew and always had the time of his life with them.
Kai was a hard-working, gentle giant that would bend over backwards to help anyone. He had a warm, beautiful heart and gave the best hugs. He will be dearly missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy. Three daughters, Kaia Faith Moseid of Ashland, WI, Ellie Wynn Moseid of Woodbury, MN and Cali Mary-Beth Moseid of Neillsville, WI. Also, his mother, Karin Moseid of Chicago, IL, two sisters, Kim (Mike Marino) Moseid and their children, Finn, Celia, Gunnar and Jens, all of Chicago, IL and Britt (Aksas) Alouani and their children, Nadia, and Lila of Gainesville, FL, his mother-in-law, Mary Hultman of Hatfield, WI a sister-in-law, Beth (Ed) Lebak of Neillsville, WI and their children and grandchildren, Alyssa (Shaun) Simpson and their children Gavin, Kayden, Brody and Hudson of Neillsville, WI and Lindsey (Johnny Lee) Lebak of Schaumburg, IL and Kellie (Mike Solana) Lebak and their daughter, Dannielynn of Neillsville, WI. Kai is also survived by four very close friends in his life, Ryan Monahan, Randy Elmhorst, Mikey Gabriel as well as the son he never had, Luke Erickson.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Finn Moseid and his father-in-law, Wynn Hultman.
Kai's family will receive family and friends for a Celebration of his life from 2:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI.
