Joyce Szczurek, 65, of Willowbrook, formerly of Cicero, died on October 5.
Born May 5, 1953 in Chicago as the third child to late Anne Szczurek (nee Potaniec) and Eugene "Happy" Szczurek. Sister to late Janice Stachyra (late Tom), late Paul (Harriet), Theresa (Richard Davis), and Tom (Vickie). Aunt to many nephews and nieces.
She graduated from St. Mary of Czestochowa Elementary School where she was a Polish dancer, award-winning indoor roller skater, and Girl Scout. She graduated from Morton East High School in Cicero where she loved singing, playing piano, and dancing. She attended Morton College and enjoyed a rewarding career as a typesetter in the printing industry.
Visitation on Saturday, Nov. 24, 9:00am, followed by 10:00am mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, 3010 48th Ct, Cicero, IL 60804. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
In lieu of flowers, masses preferred or donations to St. Mary of Czestochowa Church.

Dearest Joyce - you are missed by your friends and family from the world you departed. But it is consoling to us that other loved ones and family members greeted you upon your arrival in Heaven, your true home, where your spirit lives on forever and ever. I know your light will be shining there just as it did here as your wonderful smile reminds us. Until we meet again..
