Joseph Venturella

Born: July 27, 1925; Oak Park, IL

Died: June 6, 2014; Radisson, WI

Joseph Venturella, age 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on June 6, 2014 at the Queen of Angels nursing home in Radisson, Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born at Oak Park Hospital on July 27, 1925 the son of James and Mary Venturella.

Joe grew up in Berwyn, and was a US Army veteran that served his country in World War II. After the war, Joe became a Fireman in Berwyn, and then moved to the Police Department where he retired as a Sergeant after serving more than 25 years on the job. Joe loved to spend his time with his many grandchildren and his beloved dog Rufus.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Marge Venturella of Radisson, WI; daughter, Kristy (Jon) Snell of Couderay, WI; son, Joseph (Diane) Venturella of Bartlett, IL; daughter, Vicki (Allen) Biks of Ojibwa, WI; and grandchildren, Jason and Veronica Snell; Andrew and Alyssa Venturella; Mitchell, Becky, Jessica and Michael Biks. Twin brother, Charles of West Hills, CA; and sister, Nina Lindberg of Elmhurst, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marion; and his beloved grandson, Paul Venturella.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Joe's life on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Evangelical Free Church of Radisson, 3648 N. Clark St., Radisson, WI 54867.
