Joseph Michael Srail, 84, of Statesville, NC passed away at home Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born April 25, 1938, in DuPage County, IL, the son of the late Joseph Srail and Amelia Dine Srail.
Joseph loved traveling and visiting with customers of The New Telephone Company and on weekends enjoyed all of NC, climbing, hiking, camping, fishing and canoeing.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Jane Haid Srail, those left to cherish the memory of Joseph, are son, Joey A. Srail, daughter, Amy Srail, grandson, Uriah Johnson, father, Michael Johnson. Joseph is also survived by two brothers, David Srail (Leslie) of Hickory, NC, Robert Srail (Gayle) of Naperville, IL, sister, Mrs. Carol May of Aurora, IL Also in their memories are many nieces and great-grand nieces in NC and IL.
When weather permits, family and friends will gather at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago to visit the gravesite.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Iredell County (NC) who assisted the family with care. Memorials may be made to them in Joseph's memory.

Sincere sympathy to the Srail family on the passing of Joe. My company was one of the customers of The New Telephone Company. Joe and the crew kept our phones humming along just fine. He always was able to solve any problems that may arise as well as helping our computer staff to resolve any issues that may develop. It was always a pleasure doing business with Joe and I enjoyed our many conversations.
