Hey there unc, it's your favorite nephew. I was thinking of you today, as I do often. While no one can ever duplicate that special "Uncle John humor," I do my best to carry on the tradition by making someone laugh every day. You sure knew how to fill a room with your personality, warmth, charm, charisma, smiles and laughter. Still miss you and love you. I hope you're shooting 65's on a great course wherever you are, and chasing skirts so that one day (hopefully a LONG time from now), Mary will have to hit you repeatedly with a skillet when she gets there.

Dad~ One year today. One year since you left to go to heaven.
It feels like it just happened and still hurts just as much. I'm grateful that there is no more pain for you and that you are in heaven with God. You were such a good man Dad. I miss your sense of humor, your words of wisdom and the close bond that you and I always had. Losing you has left a huge hole in my heart that nothing and no one can ever fill. That's what happens when your Daddy's girl. But I wouldn't trade having that great relationship with you for anything. Yes, it makes your passing hurt even more but I count my blessings that you and I had such a special bond. Rest in Peace my sweet Dad. I Love you so very much. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Your Niner

My Daddy...I am so lucky and grateful for the relationship that we had. There are so few people that are fortunate enough to have had such a special bond with their Dad. Your love, your guidance, your wisdom, your commitment to family and friends and your ability to keep the sense of humor you have always had even until the very end are truly gifts to me and to all of the lives that you have touched. I miss you so much Dad that it makes my heart ache. I love you so very much and will forever be your "Niner". XOXO

Dear Mary Ellen and family,

We were so sorry to hear about John's passing. I am so glad we were reunited on the internet after many years of separation.

I knew John when he was a Lombard policeman and through the years in real estate. He had a tremendous sense of humor.

Our prayers are with you.
