John "Jack" Joseph Rheintgen, Jr.
Born: July 16, 1936 in Chicago, IL
Died: February 18, 2022 in Wood Dale, IL
John "Jack" Joseph Rheintgen, Jr., left this Earth on Friday, February 18th, 2022 in Wood Dale, Illinois. John, unfortunately, lost his short but courageous fight with Stage 4 Cancer. John "Jack" was born on July 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. Jack was predeceased in death by his Parents John Joseph Rheintgen Sr. and Emily Rheintgen. Grandpa Jack was predeceased by his beloved Grandson, Matthew Rheintgen.
Jack attended primary school in a one-room schoolhouse with a dirt floor in Lombard, Illinois. While in High School, he met his wife Frances. He used to ride his bike to her house to spend time with her. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Alabama, Ohio and Iceland. Eventually, Jack finished his service and went home to marry Fran and start a family.
Jack built Oak Electric from the ground up. His business boomed, and it had 16 trucks and 20 men at its peak. He had a fierce work ethic and could bend pipe quicker than most of his younger electricians. He had a handshake that could crack your knuckles. He loved his family dearly. He took them on trips to foreign and exotic lands. He took them snowmobiling. He coached his kids' baseball teams, sang in the church choir, had a pool that was the envy of the neighborhood, and was the Cub Master for Scouts. He gave his family memories that would last forever. He was successful. All he had, he built, he created. Everything that he had was his own.
Jack was a kind and wacky guy. He made the best popcorn and deviled eggs and was always sharing them with neighbors and friends. He lived his life to the fullest and retired a happy and rich man, which was quite a lot to Jack, considering he grew up in poverty. He was always a fun guy to have around. He was never boring and would always crack jokes and loved to be the center of attention. No matter how far he traveled, how much he did, he never lost that glint of happiness, and that silliness in his eyes.
Jack is survived by his "Tough as Nails" but "Fragile as a Flower" wife Frances Stella Rheintgen. Frances is currently loving her new social circle at the Radcliffe Assisted Living Facility in Wood Dale. She spends her days playing Bingo, attending craft classes and winning at card games with her new community of lady friends.
Jack is also survived by his brother Robert Rheintgen and his wife Ginny and Roberts' children: Jimmy Rheintgen, Chuckie Rheintgen, Mia Rheintgen.
Jack will be mourned by his Children: Son Steven Rheintgen and his wife Laura and Granddaughter Sara, Son Michael Rheintgen and Grandson Michael, Son Robert Rheintgen and his wife Becky and Grandsons Luke and Benjamin.

In lieu of donations, Jack would have suggested that you invest in his latest and greatest stock tip or on some scratch off lotto tickets at the convenience store. His latest stock predictions were Ford, Polaris and Portillo's.
He had a heart of gold and we will miss him dearly.
