John R. Mahler, age 81, of Clarendon Hills, dearly loved husband of the late Jeanne (Lembke), kind and loving "Daddy" to Susan (Joseph) Zahalka, Lisa (Robert) Bosma and Kimberly (Douglas) Ray. Loving "Papa" to Joseph Zahalka, Joshua and Samantha Bosma, Taylor and Marissa Ray. Fond brother of June Mahler and the late Tom Mahler.

Active member of Bethel Lutheran Church for over 50 years and Bethel Lutheran School for over 20 years.

Visitation was Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 9:00am until time of funeral service, 11:00am at Bethel Lutheran Church, 36 N. Grant Street, Westmont, IL. 60559; 630-968-3232. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
