John Richard Brom

John Richard Brom, age 86, of LaGrange Park. Korean War Air Force Veteran.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Lois A. Brom, nee Kuehlhorn; treasured father of Linda (William) Lahey, Karen (Frederick) Bell and John A. (Susan) Brom; proud grandfather of Dr. Ryan (Michael Labellarte) Lahey, Shannon (Fiance Brian Bak) Lahey, USAF Capt. Zachary F.(Jessica) Bell, Sr., Patrick Lahey, Julie Bell and Claire Brom; loving great grandfather of Zachary F. Bell, Jr. and Rex Robert Bell; dear brother of the late Gerald (June) Brom; fond brother-in-law of Carol (Donald) Roff; special uncle of many nieces and nephews and dear friend to all.

John, along with his brother and father, owned and operated the Metro Dental Laboratory in Berwyn for over 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion Coulter Post #1941, in La Grange, IL, Voiture 40 & 8 Club, President Emeritus of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Louise de Marillac Church, Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care, Resurrection Choir and St. Louise Senior Club.

Visitation Sunday, December 18, 2016, 3:00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. and Monday, December 19, 2016, 9;00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield, IL 60513. Funeral Monday 9:30 A.M. to St. Louise de Marillac Church, La Grange Park, Mass 10:00 A.M. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
