To Joan's Dear Family and Friends,

On the 10th anniversary of Joan's passing, I remember her as a beautiful woman of God who I was so blessed to have in my life--first, as a high school friend who my future husband, Art, and I, and she and her future husband, Ken, double-dated with at times. After high school, we moved to different areas, but kept in touch a little.
Then, after some years of no communication, Ken found our phone number on the Internet and called us. We were thrilled to hear from him, and he gave us his and Joan's address. I sent them a Christmas card and received a very nice letter back from Joan, and from there a wonderful, long e-mail friendship emerged.

I so much enjoyed her letters. They were often fun to read, filled with her sense of humor and down-to-earth
way of looking at things. She was so unpretentious and unjudgmental, but a woman who truly loved God and was completely devoted to Him. In one of my letters I asked her what her favorite song was. She was in the middle of her struggle with cancer but answered, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." I have thought of that many times. She was and continues to be an inspiration to me, and my prayers and blessings are now for her beautiful family that she so loved. I hope this isn't too long a tribute for this space, but I did want to remember her and honor her for all that she has meant to so many people. She will always be in our hearts, and we who have also received her Savior, Jesus Christ, look forward to seeing her soon!

Much love, and blessings from Sue and Art Hardy

Dear Ken and family,
How hard it was today to hear about your great loss. We are so sad for you, and for us, in losing the earthly friendship of such a beautiful, faithful woman of God. How thankful we are for His love and mercy and that we will soon see Joan's beaming smile again when we join her and all our loved ones in His presence. All our best wishes and prayers.

Dear Dr. Musil & family,
So saddened to hear of Mrs. Musil's passing. She was a rare gem who was always so kind and gentle. I still remember her warm smile! No neighbors can ever take the place you have in our hearts - Springdale has lost a rare rose!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Uncle Ken, Kenny, Debbie, Laurie, and Kathie,
Thank you for sharing your tribute to Aunt Joan with me and the others who attended the Memorial service. It was so meaningful to reflect on her life and even learn things that I had not known about my dear aunt. She was a beautiful and wise woman and your entire family is a testament to the godly way she lived her life. May God continue to be your comfort in the days and weeks to come.
